18John's disciples told him about all these things. Calling two of them, 19he sent them to the Lord to ask, "Are you the one who was to come, or should we expect someone else?" 20When the men came to Jesus, they said, "John the Baptist sent us to you to ask, 'Are you the one who was to come, or should we expect someone else?'

Luke 7:18-20
God of wilderness and water, your Son was baptized and tempted as we are. Guide us through this season, that we may not avoid struggle, but open ourselves to blessing, through the cleansing depths of repentance and the heaven-rending words of the Spirit. Amen.Pastor Douglas Avilesbernal
I pray that as we continue this Lenten season we do our best to seek God in a very intentional way. The passage above, as well as the prayer with which I began this article point towards an intentional effort to discover God in our world
In some ways having been at something for a long time can sometimes numb our feelings regarding it. A couple who has been together for a very long time has no need to look for the hand of the other while walking, or smile with excitement as they are about to meet their loved one. Something happens that changes the relationship, yes in many ways the relationship is much deeper and we are thankful for that. But in other ways we lose the excitement and it becomes an everyday thing, it fades into the background.
I pray that you are intentional about re-engaging with God through your faith walk, meditation, prayer, and reading this Lenten season. Take the time to do what you need to so you may breathe renewed life into your relationship with God.
